# Overview

Welcome to the official [Gremlix Protocol](http://app.gremlix.xyz/) documentation.

Gremlix is a **yield optimization protocol** that puts your liquidity to work on Perpetual DEXs through advanced algorithmic grid trading strategies — while simultaneously farming DEX points to maximize total returns.

## The Core Idea

Traditional yield farming forces users to choose between:

* **Passive liquidity provision** — simple, low yield, subject to impermanent loss
* **Active trading** — high yield potential, requires constant attention

Gremlix solves this by combining three yield sources into a single automated vault:

1. [**Grid trading**](/docs/getting-started/grid-trading.md) **spread income** — algorithmic buy/sell execution capturing price oscillations on Perpetual DEXs
2. **DEX points farming** — every trade accumulates protocol points from Perpetual DEXs (HyENA, Ethereal etc), which convert to tokens at TGE
3. **Automated yield compounding** — harvested rewards are automatically reinvested across optimal strategies without user interaction
